Hello, my name is Allison (Alli) Cox and I am an Associate Therapist at Center for Compassion. As someone who has had their own experiences with trauma and grief, I have come to find a true passion for supporting others through their own darkest times. It is a truly fulfilling process to witness someone on their journey toward healing. I was grateful to work at Center for Compassion throughout my practicum and internship experiences and have found that this work has expanded my own personal capacity for empathy and compassion. I hold a deep respect for the process of grieving and it is my genuine desire to support others in finding their own healing. It is my intention to provide a safe and judgment free space for you to share your story. I do believe that we all have the ability to heal ourselves, and my hope is that I can be there to help you along the way.

Practice & Credentials

Allison Cox, MA, LAC is licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and a member of the American Counseling Association. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education with an emphasis in Severe disabilities from Utah State University back in 2005. She has worked in Education for many years and takes pride in helping to support children and families. She earned her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is a member of the National Honors Society for Counselors, Chi Sigma Iota. Allison completed her graduate level internship placement hours with Center for Compassion and has been a member of the team since 2023.
